A traditional government is a type of government in which the people are administered by a group of elected or appointed officials. These officials make decisions (for better or worse) for the populace they have control over and grow the government appropriately with essential services and the like.

In a traditional government, the government is typically kept afloat by income in the form of taxes on the populace. This is opposite to newer forms of government, such as the corporation, where the corporation pays its populace to serve it.
