A Fusion-and-Fission Engine (or an F&F Engine) is the technology that most modern spacecraft use for power.

F&F Engines allow for the fusion and fission of atoms and particles and converts the reactions into energy that is used by whatever it is hooked up to. F&F Engines can create fusion and fission reactions of the same particles, and this typically happens in cycles, rather than at the same time.

F&F Engines have a Fusion Cycle and a Fission Cycle. If for some reason either cycle creates more energy than needed at the time, the excess energy is stored in a large battery and released when one cycle creates less energy than needed. The battery is a part of an F&F Engine, and is vital to sustaining energy output. The battery is essentially a conductor and regulator for power output as well as keeping the engine stable.

F&F Engines use almost any type of matter and break it down into energy.
