3D Holographic Human Imaging is the process by which you take pictures of a person and "reconstruct" them in full 3D.

This allows for holographic projection of the person once enough data is extrapolated from pictures, which are only 2D, and recreates them as 3D. As most pictures are 3D nowadays, this allows for pictures that come from a time where 3D holographic pictures weren't the norm to be used.

This 2D to 3D imaging has sparked some controversy among people -- the people that are being converted haven't "given consent" for their likenesses to be transformed into 3D holographs. It has also given way to using this data to create a type of pornography in which similar human imaging software would extrapolate how a person's body would look like naked, with or without actually having the data to create it.
