An android is a robot that is made to look like a human. These robots are more susceptible to integrating with other humans, and play the part, as well.
Androids are typically used for presentational value, and being able to relate to an otherwise not very relateable robot. Androids are used for more personable occupations, such as those that a human would typically be seen doing.
