A Drifting Planet is a planet that has drifted out of a sustained gravity field and into another one. A Drifting Planet may also not be in a gravity field at all, and is traveling through a universe unbound.
Drifting Planets that are not bound to a gravity field would usually be deemed as inhospitable due its unpredictable nature. This sort of Drifting Planet would essentially be a huge asteroid or comet.
Man-made Drifting Planets exist as well, where a planet is pushed out of one gravity field and into another gravity field. They aren't so much "man-made" as they are "man-manipulated."
