The Sybil Mining Expeditionary Corporation is the largest mining, drilling, and excavation outfit in the universe. SMEC, as it is also called, makes its profit by selling materials it mines, drills, and excavates to interested buyers.
SMEC's main project is the complete mining and excavation of the Old Earth. It processes and exports the materials to Luna for further exportation to wherever it is ordered. SMEC's main goal is to start capitalizing on the Asteroid Belt past Mars, where a lot of extra valuable minerals float.
